Meet Jaclyne
Counselling Psychologist
As a qualified Counselling Psychologist practicing for over nine years, I have extensive experience working with individuals of varying age groups, as well as working with couples, families and groups. I have worked with varying degrees of difficulties, from day-to-day stressors, to more severe and complex mental health issues. Additionally, as a qualified BPS Supervisor I provide clinical supervision to various mental health professionals, including Counselling and Clinical Psychologists, counsellors and CBT practitioners.
Given that everyone's situation is unique, my approach as a Counselling Psychologist is to work collaboratively with you, while tailoring my practice to meet your individual needs. My practice is a balance of offering a supportive role, whilst encouraging self-management to develop a sense of autonomy and empowerment in your role throughout your therapeutic change. In doing so I use evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help facilitate lasting change and growth in my clients.

As a Psychologist I work with varying complexities of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, complex trauma, OCD, learning difficulties, eating disorders, among others. I am experienced in working with clients of all age groups, from young children to older adults, as well as providing psychological therapy to individuals, groups, couples and families. Some of the psychological therapies I am qualified in include CBT, schema therapy, person-centred therapy, emotion focused therapy and mindfulness based third wave CBT.

My training as a psychologist includes a Doctorate Degree in Counselling Psychology from Glasgow Caledonian University and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from The University of British Columbia. I also hold the necessary qualifications as a BPS Applied Practice Supervisor.
Personally, I am warm, friendly and approachable. I meet every individual in an open, caring manner. I am passionate about mental health and believe in taking a holistic approach to healthy overall wellbeing, while employing a strength-based, positive psychology approach to instil hope in my clients.
